Town suppresses citizens' rights (again) but blames residents for having to adjourn the petition hearing.

For those who missed last night's petition hearing, it ended early and abruptly in a bit of chaos. The Town chose to adjourn the hearing when they decided that they didn't want to hear any testimony in support of the legal sufficiency of the petition.

In fact, Supervisor Feiner and outside counsel Robert Spolzino (referred to repeatedly by the Town as the judge) even allowed the private investigator (click here for entertaining NY Mag bio) to solicit more objections. Clearly, our town government does not believe that its behavior over the past week has been reprehensible.

Click here or watch below for a summary video of the suppression (6 mins).

This video doesn't contain any of the actual objections, so if you want to watch them all, click here for the full video (38 mins). Hopefully, Edgemont residents, including some of the unsuspecting objectors themselves, will be given their opportunity to publicly comment on the objections.
